Production Manager

Maleko Personnel, on behalf of its client located in Selma, is seeking a Production Manager. The ideal candidate would take immense satisfaction and pride in the quality of their work and would understand the importance of adhering to compliance, while achieving a goal oriented delivery plan. This position would work closely with the production team to ensure delivery of affordable, high-quality parts that meet the company's specifications.



Primary responsibilities include:



? Responsible for directing and managing the manufacturing operations consisting primarily of Metal


Fabrication.


? Daily coordination with other team leaders, support personnel, direct reports, and management on


value stream activities and requirements.


? Job includes leading and coaching a large multi-skilled team with emphasis on Safety, Compliance,


Quality, Delivery and Cost.


? Inspect work to ensure quality during and after production.


? Works proactively in addressing potential issues and applies real-time problem solving skills when


working towards resolution.


? The ability to multi-task and prioritize work with a strong focus on meeting the customer


expectations.


? This individual must strive to create an atmosphere of mutual trust & respect between all members


of the team and support personnel.


? Must be able to provide a clear vision to the team of what the organization needs to ensure success


as well as create an environment in which people are involved, included, and have a sense of


ownership.


? Manage operational activities within a production cell. Includes supervision of skilled manufacturing


operations such as production machining, welding, layout, and inspection.


? Planning and allocation of resources, materials and scheduling of equipment for maximum


utilization of production facilities and personnel.


? Establish physical layout of machinery and most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.


? Monitor, track, and improve various production and quality metrics.


? Apply disciplined use of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools.


? Direct work of assigned employees including prioritizing tasks, appropriate management of time,


ensuring proper knowledge and training, and adherence to company policy and procedures.


? Provide regular feedback and performance coaching and counseling to all team members.


? Other duties and responsibilities that may be added of assigned by management.




Basic Qualifications:


? 5 years related experience with a minimum of 2 years in the metal manufacturing area.


? Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting of 15 plus people.


? Must be familiar with process based operations and manufacturing best practices.


? Must be willing and able to work under pressure, take on multiple tasks in stressful situations such as


year-end goals and coordination of employees to ensure on time delivery of products.


? Be able to work in schedule driven environment with effective communication skills.


? Must be able to interpret complex drawings and job specifications.


? Must have the ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Project,


Power Point, etc. including Visio.



Preferred Qualifications:


? Certified welder and or weld inspector credentials are a plus.


? Knowledge in Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control


Plans.


? ERP or MRP skills are a plus.



Education:


? Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree is preferred in a related field, or with five (5) years of operations leadership?experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
