Job Summary

Responsible for all Human Resources related activities. Implements organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues. Manages the employee relations programs, including, but not limited to, employee counseling, interpretation of policies, equal employment opportunity programs, new employment orientation and employee recreation and service programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all HR related activities.
  • Has responsibility for the implementation of department budget and corporate policies.
  • Responsible for any analysis regarding acquisitions, mergers, and integrations.
  • Implements organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees, and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.
  • Manages the employee relations programs including, but not limited to, employee counseling, interpretation of policies, equal employment opportunity programs, new employment orientation and employee recreation and service programs.
  • Works with legal department to effectively deal with possible conflicts related to employment practices.
  • Assists human resources management in developing, interpreting and recommending HR program goals and objectives, policies, procedures and courses of action.
  • Assists senior management in the development of solutions through cultural and process perspective organizational development.
  • Executes company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock option grants renewal, workforce planning and organizational change).
  • Acts as a strategic business partner, change agent and member of the line management staff by being an advocate for Rockwell Collins employees, mid level, and first level leaders. Analyzes the information from the Rockwell Collins employees, mid level, and first level leaders regarding current HR strategies (i.e., compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, etc.) and recommends change initiatives to the director. Implements plans to analyze whether current employee compensation and benefits are accurate and fair to employees.
  • Responsible for workforce planning. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Setting policies for performance review system.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related business field
5-10 + years of related experience in large multi-national companies
Demonstrated ability to improve employee morale
Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws
Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Able to think strategically and make sound, data-based business decisions
Ability to inspire confidence and commitment in leaders, managers and associates, as well as in HR colleagues
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Collaborative and partner-oriented
Decisive and action-oriented

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
