Do you have a background as a Medical Front Office Professional and looking to grow and develop your career in Ophthalmology? We are seeking an employee that has great interpersonal skills who can develop relationships with patients and staff.
In this position candidates will work closely with patients and visitors to conduct their check-ins and assist with questions regarding appointments, insurance, and balances.
These procedures will require a technologically savvy candidate with world class customer service experience.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WOULD BE EXPECTED TO:
Greet patients and visitors (vendors, etc.
) in a courteous and professional manner.
Direct visitors to their destination.
Cover both check-in and check-out processes Intake patient requests for forms (DMV, etc.
) and medical records requests and directing them to the appropriate staff to complete.
Cover system dashboards for patient check-in, which consists of:
Ensuring insurance verification, collecting outstanding balances, post payments collected to practice management system and balancing daily, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year related experience and/or technical school training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6 months to 1 year of related experience.
Electronic Medical Records experience, preferred but not required.
Bilingual Spanish, preferred but not required.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an optical setting.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
This is a full time position with a benefits package.
Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate.
Schedule will be Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday if required by position or needs of the practice.
