QA Engineer (Heavy Civil Construction)
Assures quality conformance to specifications and expectations for all products and processes.
Preparing and coordinating the preparation of Quality Assurance Procedures and other documents for the Quality System according to the requirements of the contract, keeping them appropriately Disposition of held goods (Raw; finished, and in the process) including communication and execution of sampling/inspections plan.
Process operational and inspection reports and perform computer file management when storing and retrieving information related to documentation of inspections, sampling, and testing activities and results, coordinate with material test laboratories, and arrange source sampling/inspections.
Audit the approval process in-process production by confirming specifications/shop drawings and conducting visual and measurement tests.
Documents inspection and audits results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into a quality database.
Reviews processes, practices, and procedures and identify possible areas for change to improve the quality of the resulting work.
Reviews QA/QC documentation to ensure the adequacy of systems and performs project testing (requirements, procedures, and documentation).
Minimum qualification California registered Professional Engineer (P.
E) (Preferred).
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other engineering, 8
years of relevant experience or demonstrated in Heavy Civil Construction.
Experience with civil construction material testing procedures; source inspection and familiarity with laboratory test methods, good analytical ability for the test result validity.
knowledge of quality inspection standards, procedures, and applicable codes.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
) Salary 90,000-120,000(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, and skillset.
