Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
You will work closely with the finance team to streamline procedures, analyze financial information, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for driving results.
Responsibilities:
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.
Review and analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting matters, providing guidance and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Famous preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
